Jacob enjoys traveling around the world and is usually planning his next adventure, be it to Asia, Africa, the Middle East, or Central America. He likes catching the Orioles, Nationals, and Syracuse basketball; adding to his ever-growing record collection; and seeing live music.

Building on years of experience in news reporting and editorial production, Jacob is a skilled defense writer and public affairs practitioner with a copy editor’s eye, a journalist’s ear, and the insight of a seasonedexecutor of integrated communications campaigns.
In his current role, Jacob helps the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) tell its story to critical internal and external audiences. He is the personal speechwriter and ghostwriter for the CECOM commanding general, who also serves as senior commander for Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. .
Prior to joining Spire, Jacob served in marketing, communications, and media relations roles for a public affairs agency, a Fortune 500 consulting company, and a major environmental non-profit. He also worked as a copy editor at an e-learning company and an online financial news and information firm.
Jacob has a master’s degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in English from the State University of New York College at Geneseo.
